Participation of the Kotinos project in AgroThessaly 2025
The Neapolis Covered Market in Larissa, which hosted the 14th Pan-Hellenic Fair for Agriculture and Livestock, AgroThessaly, was flooded with visitors during the four-day event from March 6th to 9th. With 48.560 visitors and more than 800 exhibitors from 34 countries, spread across a specially designed area of 25,000 sq. m, this year’s exhibition confirmed its role as a leading platform for communication and networking in the primary sector.
Given that a large portion of the visitors represent a potential audience for the Kotinos project and its results, the project’s presence at the 14th AgroThessaly was essential. At the booth of NEUROPUBLIC, the project coordinator, communication and outreach materials to raise awareness about the project, such as the roll-up banner and the brochure, were available to interested visitors.
Olive once again held a prominent place at the NEUROPUBLIC booth, with the new electronic olive fly trap gaiaTRAP attracting visitors’ attention. Attendees had the opportunity to learn about both the innovative olive fly trap and the Kotinos project.
A particularly large number of visitors showed interest in the results of the project, with a focus on the solutions it offers for reducing the production costs, which have increased in recent years, as well as its contribution to reducing the environmental footprint of cultivation. The implementation of smart farming tools is emerging as a crucial factor for the sustainable development and competitiveness of olive farming in the future.
